Really cool round tribal hill tribe pendant from the Hmong (also known as "Miao") tribes. Made by hand in the villages along the border of Laos and China and personally collected by us during our travels there. This was traditionally worn as a gauge earring, we just soldered a ring on it so it can be worn as a pendant.
The Hmong believe that silver has the ability to influence spirits, and this type of jewelry plays a very important spiritual and cultural role in their society.
Made with silver and brass. The pendant is about 1 inch long.
